Galvanized steel pipes are widely used in projects that require strength, corrosion resistance, long service life, and reliable supply. The appropriate pipe type, wall thickness, and zinc coating should be selected according to the installation environment and project standard.
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipes can be used in fire sprinkler systems, fire water supply networks, and other fire protection piping applications where corrosion resistance is required.
Galvanized pipes are used for water transportation, agricultural irrigation, drainage, and general fluid delivery projects.
Galvanized round pipes are suitable for structural frames, supports, guardrails, fencing, temporary structures, and general construction applications.
Galvanized steel pipes provide strength, durability, and improved outdoor corrosion resistance for scaffolding and access systems.
Galvanized pipes are used in factories, warehouses, logistics centers, equipment structures, and industrial fluid transportation systems.
CanHope Steel supplies galvanized round pipes from DN15 to DN300. Available wall thicknesses depend on pipe diameter, manufacturing process, applicable standard, and project requirements.
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipes are generally available from 1.5 mm to 10.0 mm. Common stock thicknesses used for medium- and heavy-duty applications are often between 2.5 mm and 6.0 mm or above, depending on the outside diameter.
Pre-galvanized pipes are commonly available from 0.6 mm to 3.0 mm. Smaller round pipes and structural tubes are usually supplied in thinner wall thicknesses, while larger sizes may be available up to 2.5 mm or 3.0 mm.
Standard stock length is normally 6 meters per piece. For export shipments using 20GP containers, 5.8-meter lengths can be customized to improve container utilization.

| Specification | Available Range |

Hot-dip galvanized pipe and pre-galvanized pipe both use zinc coating to protect the steel surface, but they differ significantly in production method, coating weight, wall thickness, corrosion resistance, and application.
| Feature | Hot-Dip Galvanized Pipe | Pre-Galvanized Pipe |
| Production Method | Finished black steel pipe is galvanized after pipe production | Pipe is formed and welded from pre-galvanized steel strip |
| Common Stock Wall Thickness | Typically 2.5–6.0 mm or above, depending on diameter | Typically 0.6–3.0 mm, depending on size |
| Common Stock Zinc Coating | Approximately 200–300 g/m² | Commonly Z40, approximately 40 g/m² total on both sides |
| Approximate Zinc Thickness | Approximately 30–45 μm | Approximately 3 μm per exposed side |
| Corrosion Resistance | Higher | Suitable for light-duty and lower-corrosion environments |
| Surface Appearance | Thicker coating with a more industrial finish | Smoother and brighter surface |
| Typical Applications | Fire protection, water supply, outdoor construction, industrial projects | Furniture, greenhouse frames, fencing, supports, and light structures |
| Cost | Higher | Lower |
| Customization | High-zinc coating, size, thickness, and length can be customized | Higher-zinc strip, size, thickness, and length can be customized |
For projects with higher corrosion protection requirements, CanHope Steel can provide customized zinc coating specifications for galvanized round pipes, square tubes, and rectangular tubes.
