Steel Plate Supply and Drawing-Based Processing
CanHope can coordinate steel plate supply with cutting and fabrication requirements for project material lists. Send the material specification and drawing so the plate, processing route and finished-part requirements can be reviewed together.
Processing scope can include cutting, drilling, bending, welding and edge grinding. Confirm the required material, drawing revision, finish and inspection scope for each part before quotation.
From Plate Schedule to Finished Part
A cut plate, drilled bracket and welded assembly require different acceptance information. Identify the material grade, thickness, outline dimensions and quantity, then provide the hole pattern, bend or weld details and the critical dimensions that must be checked.
Plate and Fabrication Quotation Checklist
- Material grade, product standard and thickness.
- Sheet or plate dimensions, or a dimensioned DXF/DWG/PDF drawing for each part.
- Quantity by part number, drawing revision and any nesting constraints.
- Hole sizes, bend details, edge finish, weld requirements and critical tolerances.
- Required finish/coating, material certificates and inspection records.
- Packing, destination and requested programme.
Agree Tolerances Before Production
Cutting tolerance, edge condition, flatness and finished-part dimensions depend on the material, thickness, geometry and chosen process. Mark critical requirements on the drawing and agree them in the quotation rather than relying on a single tolerance for every part.
Inspection and Packing
Define what must be checked and which documents are required before the order is confirmed. Part marking, protection of finished surfaces and separation by drawing number can also be included in the packing specification.
Share the latest drawing revision and material schedule. We can review the required product and processing scope and identify any points that need clarification before quotation.
