Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between hot rolled, cold rolled and galvanized coil?
Hot rolled coil is the economical choice for structural work and thicker gauges. Cold rolled coil is rolled again at room temperature for thinner gauges, tighter tolerances and a smoother surface. Galvanized coil is steel coil with a zinc coating for corrosion protection.
Can coils be supplied as sheets or narrow strips?
Yes. Coils can be leveled and cut to length into sheets, or slit into narrow strips. Contact us for available sizes.
